There was more to this day...Daddy took our little leopard to the town Halloween party. Also, I went to see Dr Roizen speak (I'll spare you the crummy photos with no flash); it was really cool!

Visitors!

Today Candace was with us, and Aunt Ashley and Uncle Nick came to visit!!, but Daddy didn't get home until midnight! 7 1/2 hours late !! :( We're happy to have him home now!

Fun day!

Grandma J spent the day with us, playing and reading, and we had a book club party! I forgot how quickly you can grocery shop without kids -- thank you Jackie :) The book was The Color of Light by Karen White, great characters and some mystery -- everyone liked it! Thank you Mom for baking all of those DELICIOUS desserts! And Ashley came, what a wonderful surprise!

Some dress up, Carla found her tongue - hilarious!, Stroller Science (check out those huge Sycamore leaves and can you find the wild strawberry?), and dinner at the "pizza shop" and a sleepover with Gramma and Pas!

That's right, I was the top female in a 5k race today! I won't tell you my time, but I will say it was my best since Carla was born :) Anna, Carla, Daddy, Gramma, and Pas were a great cheering squad! Thanks for coming out in the cold :)

Happy 5th Birthday Joey!

and Marview Street Party! What a fun day! Anna won the race according to the Police Officer, probably because she and Anna had the same name. Anna even got to sleep over at Gramma and Pas' to make the night even more exciting! Check out Sheriff Joey's bike - it has his horse on it! We made him a personalized Joey-Spiderman video which everyone enjoyed, especially the star! We missed you Aunt Sara, Uncle Dan, and Max!

At 2 1/2 and 3 months, they're both learning so much!

It was so sweet seeing Anna want to help set up Carla's farm animals for her. She is so eager to help, and "play" with her sister! Carla just loves her new toys! She will sit in that chair for an hour at a time, just batting away at her new animal friends. She even pulled the handle that makes music! It seemed like forever before Anna could do that. She's our little muscle woman. She's a mover too. She rolls over the second I lay her down. She is really trying to wiggle out of that chair now too! I don't even remember Anna ever doing that.

Thanks to the English Nanny and Governess School, Candace will be spending the next 10 Fridays with us. Both girls are really enjoying her, and I enjoy the help! Here they were making teddy bears, and they sang a song to go with it :)

Could it be?...a real-time post!

I can't believe it myself! Here's the fun news: Carla rolled over today! We could have even had it on video since Anna and I watched the whole thing. However, my memory card wasn't in the camera because I am actually in the midst of catching up with our photo sharing! Anyway, about the rolling, it was so cute! We were cheering her on and after she did it Anna said 'she rolled all by herself' ~ it was so cute! I think the first time I saw Anna roll over wasn't her first time. I would often see her and think 'wasn't she just on her back' or the opposite, and then one day we actually witnessed it. Carla on the other hand doesn't have the freedom of lying around all the time like Anna did because I have to protect her from her big sister who likes to pull on Carla's extremities and touch her head all the time. Anyway, I'm sure it's all in love deep down. Go Carla! We're so proud of you :) She is also cooing and smiling so much, very cute, and I have a video of that, so maybe you'll even see it - before she is talking! Good Night!

A special day too for Mike and I since we met 8 years ago today :)

Our girls went to their first Indians game!

What a perfect evening! First, we drove to the stadium from opposite ends of town, and coincidentally drove into the parking garage right behind each other (me and the girls in one car and Gramma, Pas, and Billy in another)! Thanks for making my daring trip downtown with the girls and without Mike much easier than expected. Secondly, it was a beautiful evening! We couldn't have asked for it to be a degree warmer or cooler. Thirdly, we found some awesome extra seats with a great view, rather than sitting way up high, and there were even enough seats for Nicholas and a bunch of his friends to sit right with us there! finally, we won! Lots of exciting home runs, Slider and some dancing hot dogs, and a tribute to our great pitcher (oops! don't know his name!) were also lots of fun!

The last few photos need a little explaining. I dropped a watermelon! It was a big mess, but I am happy to report that I didn't freak out, other than laughing a lot as Carla AND I were down on the floor scrubbing. It was still a really yummy melon! The play food in the last shot was lined up by Anna by herself from darkest to lightest - isn't that cool?!

Creek Walk

We had so much fun on our first creek walk that we came back today. It was a much warmer and sunnier day and we had a ball. Anna shows me every time we come here that she wants to be a cross country runner - it's so cute how she just "goes'! There is one photo to remind you that Carla and I were there too!
